Correction for the Solution toQuestion no10

by Vishal Jaiswal
(Mumbai)

Milk in the 729 ml of mixture = 567 ml
Water hence in the mixture = 162 ml

Now in order to get the mixture of half milk and half water means the amount of water and milk must be equal.

i.e. Amount of water in new mixture = 567 ml
we have water from old mixture = 162 ml

Amount of water to be added = (567 - 162) ml
= 405 ml
is the answer

question its self wrong
by: Anonymous

I don't think the answer is correct because mixture containing milk is reduced to half and water is reduced to half..; then it is not predictable to add water to the mixture which increases water content (violets half water).. so the question has to be modified....
