How do you think this feels for a mother of a special needs child, researching the internet for ways to help? Visitors to your website are not looking for what you must believe to be humorous, calling low average and borderline scores for morons and idiots.

Everyone can learn

Due to my own dealings with test ratings. I don't like to have my intelligence rated by what someone else considers to be intelligent by their "theories" on it.

I will say, that after viewing my "achievement test scores" when I was older in high school and saw how I didn't score as highly on them, because in high school I was a "A" to a "B" student. I began to question the fact of "why I'm I getting desent grades of A's and B's now, when I scored so poorly on my "achievement test" when i was in grade school. I battled with that ? for quiet sometime.

And, I just came to the conclusion that all people are born ignorant as a babies. Therefore, until we all begun to learn and to be taught how to behave and how to learn for an education, that we are all ignorant, until we are taught and learn. And, that all human beings have the capacity to learn, even those with mental handicaps as hold some pasity to learn within his/her own learning ability.

Therefore, I think to much emphases has been placed on these "so called test" to measure a person's ability to learn. And, if...., anyone is a human being with a brain, then they all have the ability to be taught and to learn something, because all human beings are taught and therefore, learn from the time they are a baby.

Therefore we all have the ability to learn some just not as quickly as others, but we all can learn at our pace and at our mental ability. And, being called an "idiot" because one's scores "average or below" due to someone else's theory on learning and "smarts" is very bias, even for a psychologist in my opinion. And, psychologist are the one's that are supposed to be open to all areas of a subject.

Therefore, i don't like the so called "I.Q." testing, just because one can't learn at "genius level" doesn't mean that they are an idiot. They just have a different way of learning or might not learn as quickly as others, but we can all learn and that's a "fact" that's proven from infancy.

To Genifer Lancaster,

I am really sorry for hurting your feelings. I don't call 'low average and borderline scores for morons and idiots.' The page you referred describes old structure of IQ Test scoring methodology. Most of the IQ tests no more make such offensive claims.

As far as my beliefs are concerned, I know human beings carry various talents which need certain level of effort and skill to be sharpened. Any average person and even low average can be successful in all respect if he/she has clear goals, makes consistent effort and remains persistent in difficulties. Intelligence has its share in your life but high, average or even low average scoring can't make a big difference.

I am an average person. But I don't believe in my scoring when I have to make critical decisions in my life. I promote the same feelings and thoughts to my valuable visitors.

Anyway I am again sorry if you have felt so bad about any page of my site.
