My 10" f:6 Newtonian
My father gave me a old prewar electric fan to tear down clean, lube, and make work.
At age 6..... we had a used furniture business.
By age 9, I was an expert on Sturmey Archer 3 speed bike hubs.. before owning my own Dunelt 3 speed, bought with money earned putting others together, from coffee cans of parts... $5 each....
At age 12 I was building telescopes after making their mirrors..... silvering them, before sending them off for aluminizing
At the same year I was learning motorcycle carbs, engines, and began learning European cars.
S.U. carbs.... were a early specialty.
At age 17, I helped build one Porsche 911T out of two wrecked ones.
The car finished The Daytona 24 hours, 1967, 10th OA, 1st in U-2 Touring.
In my mid-20's I became a trained camera repairman...which was good, until they became plastic and electronic... 1986.
I work with older Mac computers, recycling them to inner city kids at risk, single parent families and to the mentally ill...
MY problem, as it turns out.
