Martin,
You are right. The IQ should increase with age. The article you have referred is contradicting the previous conclusions of the psychologists.

IQ Test Scales Vary - And People Can Get Smarter! by: Martin
Hello, Saqib.
I've never seen any evidence that IQ test scores can decline (unless someone becomes senile or has a head injury.)
But test scales do vary -- you have to know what kind of tests and how to compare the scores.
But... new research shows that people can get smarter with specific, focused training.
If you haven't seen Jaeggi's study on Training Working Memory (PNAS), you may want to check it out. Jaeggi's team recorded increases in mental agility (fluid intelligence) of up to 50% after 19 days of focused training with a dual n-back progressive method.
I was so impressed that I developed a software program using the same method so that anyone can achieve these improvements at home.

Decline in IQ Scores by: Saqib-Admin
Increase in age is considered one of the factors for low IQ scoring. However, there are other reasons too. Repetition may offend some of my psychologist friends. You may go through different web pages of this site on IQ tests. Briefly, other factors include your test taking environment, quality of the test, status of mind, version of the test, standardization process, validity process and so on. But your age is not the age where intellectual functioning should go down. You are as genius as you were at your school.
