Going so far, It is embarrassing for me to admit that I recently joined such an opportunity for its claims, positive feedback and too much advertisement. But I have learnt that it is not mistake but ‘persistence’ with the mistake which proves detrimental to your ultimate fate.

I saw a banner, a few reviews and ads about Reverse Funnel System and Global Resorts Network. The later sells life-time membership for 4-5 star resorts worldwide. It claims a background of 19 years and offers one week stay in many quality resorts for $300.00 a week. The BBB and other consumer protection sites don’t contain any complaint from the unsatisfied member of the GRN.

Being a member of the GRN you may promote the membership for heavy commission of $1000.00 or $500.00 depending upon your platinum or the golden membership, as the case may be. The Multi-Level marketing and payment plan is a piece of great interest.

The Reverse Funnel System, on the other hand, is a marketing system which offers lead capturing page, autoresponders, automatic payment methods and closing of sale. The system is officially approved (though not recommended) by the GRN and is an upgrade of a low cost marketing website.

As soon as you land on its site, you are required to submit your email address. Then you start receiving auto-responder messages until you don’t pay them $50.00 for showing your interest. Then you fill a survey form. You are sent a few emails automatically to show that Tye Coughlin is too much interested in your survey and then finally all the directors of the inner circle marketing system unanimously agree that you are a right person to join the system. Then you have to pay non-refundable $3150.00 for platinum membership of the GRN. Now you may either promote the Global Resorts Network membership independently or join the Reverse Funnel System to promote the same aggressively. The RFS shall cost you $300.00 every month.

Instead marketing part of the system starts. You need traffic to make sales. Any kind of traffic can’t work. You need highly targeted traffic which is deeply interested in money making or staying in resorts. If you don’t own free traffic, you need to pay to to Google Adword, Yahoo, Findwhat, banner industry, emails, ezines etc to get interested traffic at least.

I placed banners at my site which is attracting about 50,000 highly targeted visitors every month. My CTR for Google Adsense is in two figures. My CTR with Kontera is more than 4%. My CTR with amazon is also more than 3%. But the banners created a few clicks and less leads.

But I know that was not targeted traffic for the Reverse Funnel System. So I learnt and used Google Adword. I received 1062 highly targeted 1064 visitors, 44 leads, one paid lead and no sale.

I am thankful to my websites which are helping me to generate handsome money every month to make such foolish experiments.

Though I still have gut feelings that I shall recover my money if Global Resorts Network really provided me stay even at a single resort with the claimed price. But I feel sorry for wasting such a quality time of two months.

A Real Money Making Experience

It is so simple and real. I develop content rich websites about the subjects of my interest. I optimize my content for visitors and search engines. I submit my pages to the search engines as per their updating rules. I use XML/RSS feeds at my sites to get repeated visitors. I use blogs to show my latest updates. And I use content 2.0 to generate content automatically. Isn’t simple…?

But I don’t know HTML, Java, XML/RSS, blah blah computer technologies. And I don’t have enough time to do these things by myself. I have not read a single book on search engine optimization. I don’t have even time to learn these things.
