Under pressure

by Steven W Velpel
(Appleton, WI)

The biggest concern about the Wonderlic IQ test I see on this site is the stress related to the short time frame to complete the test as being unfair.

In the real work environment, if a person had all the time in the world to accomplish a task then the limit of time would be a huge issue. Most job task in the work environment is limited by a time factor. I consider the time restriction to be a realistic relationship to the real world, making the test a better evaluation of performance under the stress of the job or schooling. If I were allowed an unlimited time or even just a half hour to take the test, I would score 100% which would make the test useless.

I normally do not respond to sites such as this that do not give any credentials of the author. What are the author's credentials? This site reads strictly as the option of an author that lack the formal training required for the information to be of any real value. Anyone can have an Internet site but it does not make that person an authority on the topic. If this post does not make the site then it truly a bogus site.
