As far as I understand, there are two simple series of numbers.

Series 1: 16,13,10,7
Series 2: 11,8,5,

What would be the next number in the mixed series:

16 - 11 - 13 - 8 - 10 - 5 - 7 -

Rating ANS FOR NUMERICAL by: Anonymous ya the ans is 2. as there are two series n we can get the ans by subtracting 5 from 1st series n subtracting 2 from 2nd everytime....

Rating Editor is correct by: Alok The correct Answer is 2 only.

Rating Answer is : 2 by: Anonymous Series 1: 16,13,10,7 Series 2: 11,8,5,(2) It is simply abstract thing with numeric values. Like on the first comment, try to check the initial values as Series 1 and result deducted by 5 is Series 2. Series 1:16 - 5 = 11 :Series 2 Series 1:13 - 5 = 8 :Series 2 Series 1:10 - 5 = 5 :Series 2 Series 1:7 - 5 = (2) :Series 2 So completing the abstract result for Series 2: You'll have 2 as the answer. Regards.

Rating ANSWER IS 2 by: Anonymous I agree, the answer is 2. Just subtract the initial value series by 5 and consecutively subtract it by 5. So the answer is : 2

Rating numerical question by: rohit awasthi the answer is 2....just subtract 5 from the no. and add 2.....for eg.. 16-5=11 11+2=13 13-5=8 8+2=10 10-5=5 5+2=7 7-5=2 so 2 is the next number

Rating ANWER IS CORRECT by: Anonymous The answer is correct.... just need o subtract 5 after each adjacent number..answer will be 2.

Rating NUMERICAL QUESTION by: Anonymous 2 is the corrrect ans. just luk at the alternate numbers in the series n subtract 3 from each

Rating The answer is correct by: Anonymous The solution is subtract 5 than add 2, subtract 5 than add 2, and so on. The end is 7 subtract 5 which equals 2.
