You note both that:

• 95% of IQ scores fall between 70 and 130
and that

• 5% of people have an IQ under 70.

This would suggest that no one scores above 130 on an IQ test ever. But empirically this is false.

The article says that 5% of PEOPLE score under 70 and 95% of IQ SCORES fall between 70 and 130. What you need to remember is that not every person in the world has taken an IQ test. So that could mean that mainly average people take IQ tests to kind of tip the scale downward.

just a short note. possible that a total of five percent have scores either above or below that range. for example two percent above and three percent below, etc.
