I just recently took and failed a mechanical aptitude test by the smallest of margins. Simply because I was never informed the basic principles of pulleys and gears attached by belts. After finding this website I feel fully capable of taking and passing this exam if it is given to me again.

Improve Information in the WAIS article

The information you are providing is very misleading, as a Psychologist we are aware that every test has its limitations and a standard of error is taken into consideration with every psychometric test, particularly WAIS.

It is incorrect to state:

"However, it is still lacking reliable evidence to prove its validity. It is also proven that Wechsler IQ test rating has not been constant throughout its use. "

The above statement is simply ignorant. WAIS has a multitude of evidence backing it's high level of reliability and validity. An education in Statistics and Psychology would change your statement that Wechsler IQ is lacking reliable evidence to prove it's validity. For starters, statistical evidence is always used to SUPPORT, not PROVE reliability and validity. This is just showing the ignorance of the author of this article, as this would be made clear within a few lectures of first year 'Introduction to Statistics'.

It is also incorrect to state:

"It is also proven that Wechsler IQ test rating has not been constant throughout its use."

"Proven?" Again the use of this word indicates the ignorance of the author. The author is stating that the WAIS lacks evidence to PROVE reliability and validity, yet stating that the same evidence has PROVEN that it is not constant throughout it's use. Let me re-iterate the danger in using the word PROVE in statistics.

The ranges of intellectual functioning that the author in the article has stated are part of the WAIS, are INCORRECT.

PLEASE educate the author of this article to complete at least the first few lectures of STAT101 and PSYC101 before writing an article that is embarrassing to the author and the reputation of the website. Or better, have it re-written by a Psychologist.

My name is Giovani a high school student in Las Vegas Nevada and i have family in the electrical field which is catching my attention for a future career. I feel like end of the world a kind of extreme depression, my thoughts are dark, I feel like I'm in a place where there is no exit, I have no aim, I,m exausted, nervous, I'm scared from people, I,m not happy I have enemies since I became grown up I feel like the time is same , monotonious, my thoughts are very ambiguous, I have sometimes nightmares i dont feel good , I feel like i'll die from sth or in an accident, every day is my same ****' day i feel like every day I'm deeper in a hole which has no end and makes me feel more complicated. I have no self- confidence at least either it is about me or somebody else i9 cant believe that everything is so dark taking the terrorism and woman trafficking as an appearance and the weapon as sth which exists. Negative people with unbelievable minds are sth extremely bad , with their perverse psyche it's awful. Everything goes on my nerves and I'm totally xxxxxx up!!!!!! the whole planet is getting on my nerves there is no justice at all and everything that people do drives me crazy , I can't believe how things are !!!!! I need help!!! immediately !!!!!!!
